FAKE SURVEYS UNDERTAKEN UNDER AUSTRALIAN MARKET RESEARCH NAME
AMR has recently been advised that callers identifying themselves as representatives of “Australian Market Research” have been contacting members of the public offering them the chance to win an iPad in exchange for participation in a survey, which can be only redeemed once an in-house presentation has been agreed to by the respondent.
Under the Privacy (Market and Social Research) Code 2014, which covers AMR, and the AMSRS Code of Professional Behaviour, which AMR’s employees are required to comply with, direct marketing is not permitted. AMR complies with these obligations and only engages in bona fide research activities.
If you have been called by an organisation identifying themselves as Australian Market Research from St Leonards offering you the chance to win an iPad for participation in a survey if you agree to an in-house presentation, please be aware that AMR is not the originator of these calls.
